The purpose of our organization is to support the programs that assist children in households that are experiencing financial hardships. These programs provide the kids with the opportunity to participate in a basketball program where they will build a great work ethic and discipline. We believe that these programs will help the children achieve academic success and that is why we strive to support them.
Our annual marquee event is the Bay Area Showdown, held each Summer. Top teams from across the region come to Tampa to compete for a $15,000 cash prize. The event is open to any team and sees thousands of visitors in the stands each year.
We are proud to facilitate some of the finest basketball programs in the Tampa Bay area. With working relationships with many current and past professional athletes, including Marreese Speights of the NBA's Golden State Warriors, Bay Area Basketball, Inc. is able to attract some of the area's top talent to our adult leagues and youth and adult tournaments.
